Brief Summary:

Alfred Wegener born on 1880 and died on 1930, was the German meteorologist and geologist who turned out to be the first person who propose the theory of continental drift. He wrote a book that was called the "Origins of Continents and Oceans," which shows that he calculated that about 200 million years ago the continents were primarily joined together, therefore forming a large supercontinent know as Pangaea meaning "All-earth" which was also named by him.
